FSI Revising Formulation of Its Granular Mosquito Control Product To Improve Short Shelf Life

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Oct 6, 2006 – FLEXIBLE SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC. (AMEX: FSI, FRANKFURT: FXT), is the developer and manufacturer of biodegradable and environmentally safe water and energy conservation technologies, as well as anti-scalant technology. The Company announces preliminary results from efficacy trials using an alternate form of Watersavr-Bti (WS-Bti).

The results are from a new granular formulation, not FSI’s original powder formulation, and they suggest that the new granular form may have a short shelf life rendering it ineffective sooner than anticipated. The Company is considering the results and reviewing the compound to determine the cause of the shortened shelf life and resolve it.

For aerial distribution of mosquito larvicides, granular verses powder formulations are preferred, particularly in high wind conditions. However, aerial distribution is not always necessary and alternative forms of distribution are often used

CEO Daniel B. O’Brien states, “The effectiveness of the WS-Bti compound is not compromised given the positive, third party, test results of the powder formula. Sales of the powder version can continue uninterrupted. With respect to the granular version we intend to revise its formulation with the intent being to maximize its efficacy.”
