FLEXIBLE SOLUTIONS ANNOUNCES THAT INDEPENDENT TRIALS OF WATER$AVR IN
INDIA AND MOROCCO RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT WATER EVAPORATION REDUCTION

Company Moving to Expand Presence in Worldwide Markets

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Oct. 30, 2003 – FLEXIBLE SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC. (AMEX: FSI, FRANKFURT: FXT), the developer and manufacturer of environmentally safe water conservation technology, today announced that independent trials of the Company’s proprietary Water$avr technology in Morocco and India yielded a reduction of up to 45 per cent in the evaporation of water.

In Morocco, the Water$avr trials were carried out by the Office National de l’eau Potable (ONEP) (National Office of Drinking Water). Using standard outdoor holding pans and recognized evaporation testing methods, ONEP obtained evaporation reduction of 30% by treating the water surface every two days as is recommended for high sunlight conditions and 45% when increasing the treatment schedule to every day. ONEP scientists also reconfirmed that Water$avr had no effect on aquatic life or oxygen transfer.

The trials in India were conducted by the engineering staff of the 1,500-acre (650 hectare) Manjara drinking water reservoir. This large-scale trial in which 10,000 pounds (4550kg) of Water$avr was used showed that the retardant is an effective evaporation control remedy on a major body of water. During a four-week control period, Water$avr applied to the reservoir every two days saved 34% of the water that would have evaporated. The gross amount of water saved in two weeks was 160 acre-feet (199,000 cubic meters).

“The two independent trials reconfirmed the fact that more fresh water can be made available in water challenged areas using Water$avr,” stated Daniel B. O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of Flexible Solutions International. “The trials were also significant in that the trial in Morocco confirmed that additional evaporation reduction is possible when Water$avr is applied daily instead of every two days,” he added. “In addition, the trial at the Manjara drinking water reservoir in India confirmed that Water$avr is a powerful evaporation reduction tool for very large bodies of water.”

Mr. O’Brien said he is hopeful that the successful trial results in Morocco will be the first step on the way to enabling the government to increase its water resources and enhance the quality of life for residents of this North African country, which is plagued by a critical lack of this much-needed natural resource. “We will continue to build our relationships with industry and the government in Morocco toward the objective of utilizing Water$avr technology that has the potential of resulting in a significant contract,” Mr. O’Brien said.

He also noted that Flexible Solutions has previously run successful trials on smaller bodies of water in India and is already shipping Water$avr to its distributor in Chennai, Ideal Business Solutions, as part of an initial order. “With this key piece of data from the trial on the large Manjara reservoir, our distributor in India now has a complete package of data that will enable it to increase its marketing of Water$avr throughout the country.”

Water$avr, an environmentally friendly mixture of food safe ingredients including fatty alcohols, creates a harmless one-molecule thin layer on the water’s surface to keep it from evaporating. Water$avr spreads across the surface by means of an ionic spreading mechanism and if the water is distributed by wind, waves or a swimmer, the particles rush back together and reform the protective cover. Water$avr is also being developed as an agricultural application for delivering nutrients to increase crop yield and as a spreading mechanism for applying agents to combat mosquito borne disease such as West Nile Virus, Equine Encephalitis, Malaria and Dengue Fever.
