Flexible Solutions Receives First Purchase Order for Mosquito Control Version of WaterSavr
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, APRIL 20, 2006 – FLEXIBLE SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC. (AMEX: FSI, FRANKFURT: FXT) Today the Company announced that it has received a purchase order for 10 skid-loads of WS-BTI™, the version of the Company’s WaterSavr™ product that kills disease bearing mosquito larva while reducing evaporation from water surfaces. FSI is the developer and manufacturer of cost-effective, environmentally safe, biodegradable, and patented water technologies. FSI’s water evaporation control products are used to reduce water loss in arid climates, reduce energy loss from public and private swimming pools and cause spreading of desired particles across water surfaces. The Company’s bio-polymers are utilized in agricultural nutrient availability, oil industry scale prevention and as suspension agents in the detergent industry.
The order was placed by Watersaver Company Inc of Denver, CO (WCI) – the oldest and largest geomembrane fabricator in the world. WCI is a distributor of both WaterSavr™ and WS-BTI™ focused on sales to the golf course and planned community marketplaces. In addition to EPA approval for use in the USA, WS-BTI™ has received state approvals for use in Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. Approval in Florida is pending.
Stanford Slifer, Vice President of Watersaver Company Inc. states, “We are very impressed with both WaterSavr™ and WS-BTI™ as logical expansions to our core business of liners for ponds and lakes. Golf course professionals see the advantage of reducing water loss from water hazards and irrigation ponds, especially those who pay city water rates.” Mr. Slifer adds, “The WS-BTI™ version is even easier to sell since our customers are often able to pay for their mosquito control program with the reduction in their water bills.”

The state approvals noted above are those chosen for the 2006 sales season. FSI intends to expand our state approval coverage to most, or all of the USA in time for the 2007 season. In addition, FSI is developing the relationships necessary to distribute WS-BTI™ to the mosquito abatement districts that are responsible for public mosquito larva control programs.
WS-BTI™ is a modification of WaterSavr™, incorporating the environmentally benign BTI bacteria naturally found throughout the world. BTI is lethal to the larval stage of mosquitoes and blackflies without affecting other life forms. WaterSavr™ is an environmentally friendly, patented, evaporation reduction powder that self spreads to create a one molecule thin layer on the water surface. WaterSavr™ has been proven effective in trials conducted around the world that have resulted in average water savings of 30%. WaterSavr™ has been certified by the United Nations Environmental Program, The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and meets drinking water standards of the America National Standard Institute (ANSI).
