The Company's founder Dr. Robert O'Brien, discovered patentable ways to spread a monolayer on pools, open water surfaces, drinking water, croplands, lawns and gardens. The ionic spreading mechanism makes use of the repulsive forces generated by dissociation of ionic compounds when dissolved in water. Negative ions repel each other, as do positive ions, thus causing the film forming agents to spread across the surface quickly.

Three products exist to date: Ecosavr™, Heatsavr™, and WaterSavr™. Each product serves as a water evaporation inhibitor in different markets and for various applications. The Ecosavr™ and Heatsavr products are both marketed for the swimming pool market, however, the Ecosavr™ is targeted to residential pool owners and Heatsavr™ is marketed for commercial and public pool markets. WaterSavr™, an evaporation control powder, has a broader number of applications, as it can be applied in just about any evaporation reduction situation.

Ecosavr™ and Heatsavr™ are currently being sold to clients such as hotels, recreational facilities, municipal swimming pools, and residential swimming pools. The Company also sells Heatsavr™ and Ecosavr™ directly to both wholesalers and retail customers worldwide.

In July 2001, Flexible Solutions received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and trademark Office for the Company's evaporation control powder, WaterSavr™. A notice of the allowance is the last step prior to patent issuance and indicates that the Patent Office has no further objections. In October 2001, the US patent issued, the Company is currently filing for worldwide patent protection.

On April 11, 2002, Flexible Solutions and Ondeo Nalco Company, a subsidiary of SUEZ, converted the formerly announced letter of intent to provide global manufacturing capacity for Flexible Solutions' WaterSavr™ product to a firm five year contract. Ondeo is the premier water-related solutions provider with a presence in 130 countries supplying 115 million people with water and wastewater services.
