Energy Content Schedule A number of you have asked for an energy content schedule for the different fuels in our sales area. A schedule has been developed to obtain energy values at a glance. Although coal and fuel oil values may vary, this schedule provides the average energy content values that we use.
* A BTU is defined as the amount of energy required to raise one pound of water one degree fahrenheit. Conversion Factors - Energy/Heat 1 Joule = 0.000000273 kwh = exp -6 X 273 kwh 1 Gigajoule = Gj = exp +9 = exp +9 X 2.73 exp -7 = 273 x 10-9 kwh
1 Gigajoule = exp +9J X 9.478 exp -4 = 947,800 BTU (~1 million)
1 Gigajoule = exp +9 X 2.390 exp -4 = 239,000 kcal Top of Page || Home | Products | Investor Info | Media | About | Contact | Order |
